ICE Decides to Ease Up on Minor Traffic Cases

The Good News: ICE officials won't immediately detain suspected illegal immigrants arrested on minor traffic violations and don't have a criminal record

The Bad News: ICE still needs to do more to change the Secure Communities program

The aim of Secure Communities is to prioritize the removal of dangerous criminal aliens, and priortize the removal of repeat immigration violators.  However, the program is flawed since it leads to racial profiling and too many people without a criminal history end up in detention.
